The Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment addresses social, spatial, and infrastructural needs through seven specialized schools: Architecture and Planning, Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Construction Economics and Management, Electrical and Information Engineering, Mechanical Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering, and Mining Engineering. Our programs combine theoretical knowledge with practical application to solve real-world challenges in infrastructure development, sustainable design, and technological innovation. Graduates are equipped to drive development and transformation in South Africa and beyond.
